Irvine is a town that over the past 15-20 years has been expanding continuously creating one of Ayrshire's local 'hot spots' for visiting tourists.

A Bit O' Burns
If you are aware of probably the most famous Scottish poet that ever lived, are you aware that Robert Burns worked and lived in Irvine as well?
Just 75 yards from the Irvine Lodge Guest House is the original work-place and living quarters of the world famous poet.
The heckling shop that Robert Burns resided and worked in has been turned into a visitor centre and for a small fee you can have a guided tour of the Scottish Legends Life.
